Immigration New Zealand has launched their Immigration ONLINE - Student system. Applications for student visas can now be made online at https://www.immigration.govt.nz/new-zealand-visas/apply-for-a-visa. Applicants will still need to provide pasports through the relevant Visa Application Centre (VAC) offshore, or via INZ Palmerston North if they are already in New Zealand. As part of our MoU with Cambridge English, Dr Ardeshir Geranpeyeh presented a session focussing on English language testing, particularly the advantages of online computer adaptive testing. An example of online testing, the Business Language Testing Service – BULATS, was reviewed, as well as the rationale behind aligning language test results to the CEFR. The Government has announced that English language students choosing New Zealand for their study experience will have the opportunity to work part-time while on a Student Visa of 14 weeks or more. This site is designed specifically for international students who are permitted to work part-time as part of their student visa conditions.
