We exist to create an excellent study experience in New Zealand

When you choose an English New Zealand school, you are choosing quality.

Our schools have expertise in teaching English to international students, so you’re in good hands.

Our 21 member schools are located throughout New Zealand in popular tourism destinations. They include private, government-owned, small and large schools, so you’ll find a quality school to suit your needs.

Approximately 18,000 students from around the world choose English New Zealand schools each year. Most are aged 18–39 years and they come from over 50 different countries.

Each English New Zealand school must meet strict quality standards by:

  • Employing qualified and experienced teachers.

  • Providing a range of high quality courses at various levels, which may include internationally recognised exams and academic preparation programmes.

  • Following processes for level testing and placement, regular assessment and monitoring of progress.

  • Ensuring high-stakes assessment for entry into further study (e.g. the English New Zealand Accredited Pathway Assessment) is secure, moderated, and benchmarked.

  • Providing quality facilities and resources to help you improve your English.

  • Supporting your needs as a learner while helping you adjust to your study experience in New Zealand.

  • Providing suitable accommodation options and activities programmes, such as weekend excursions and after school activities.

  • Providing access to a 24-hour emergency contact service.

  • Informing you of their complaints process.

  • Meeting government regulations for accreditation and pastoral care.

  • Protecting prepaid fees as required by the government’s Student Fee Protection regulations.

English New Zealand schools will provide you with a high quality English language study experience.

You will have the opportunity to share your culture and customs, and to make friends from around the world while improving your English.
