NZLC Wellington is located on Willis Street in the middle of the city’s vibrant coffee scene. The school is surrounded by an abundance of cafés and restaurants and other great attractions such as the Te Papa Museum, the City Gallery, Cuba Street and Oriental Parade are only a 5 min walk away.

We have a spacious student lounge with computers where our students like to chat, eat their lunches and enjoy each other’s company. The school kitchen is well equipped and always the first stop when students arrive at the school in the mornings creating  a personal and familiar atmosphere, a home away from home. We also have a library which is a cosy room with shelves full of interesting books and magazines to read and a TV and DVD player.

The courses at NZLC help students improve in all the key areas needed for greater fluency. All NZLC schools follow the communicative approach which encourages students to use the target language in a variety of meaningful situations. Students will achieve confidence and be able to communicate effectively in real-life situations.

Our teachers nurture the capacities of all learners to think and act with developing independence and strive to develop and maintain professional relationships with learners based upon the best interests of those learners.

At NZLC we offer our students a unique New Zealand experience. Our extracurricular activities are designed to support and encourage our students to practise their English outside the classroom and to make friends and learn about New Zealand culture. We encourage students to stay in our carefully selected homestay families as that’s the best way to experience Kiwi lifestyle and to practise English outside of the school.

NZLC is the winner of the 2014 STM Star Award for the Southern Hemisphere.

NZLC holds Category 1 status by NZQA (New Zealand Qualifications Authority). This allows students studying full time at our school to work up to 20 hours per week if they are enrolled in a course 14 weeks or more. Free after-school Job Preparation Workshops are held monthly to assist students with finding work.

The NZLC City Link option provides free domestic flights between our Auckland and Wellington campuses.
