EF Education First was founded in Sweden in 1965 and is now the world's largest private education company with offices and schools in over 50 countries. The aim of EF is to enable everyone to make the world their classroom and to break down the barriers of language, culture and geography.

EF Auckland is situated in the city centre (CBD) near the city's two universities, a perfect place to study a range of subjects in an academically challenging environment. We offer Basic, General, Intensive English and English exam preparation courses, as well as the Academic Year Abroad course with pathways for University Preparation and an Internship option for short-term and Academic Year students. Our students come from a wide range of nationalities and range from university students and young adults (16+) to adults and professionals (25+).

EF has its own EF Efekta Language Learning System which allows students to personalise their studies. It also supports their learning needs and helps them learn faster and gain lasting results in a flexible, varied learning environment.

In-class learning is reinforced with innovative language lab (iLab) computer modules and special interest (SPIN) classes. SPIN classes support language learning and allow students to work on their language skills and build their knowledge in topics that appeal to them e.g. Drama, Current Events, New Zealand Culture, English through Music and Business English.

Students are assessed at regular intervals during their course through testing and class assignments. At the end of their study period, successful students receive an EF Graduation Certificate.
